Drift is proud to announce that high leverage mode is open to all Drift accounts and is currently in beta. To ensure that Driftors have the best experience, it will be rolled out slowly.

To begin, high leverage mode will be limited to 100 accounts and 3 perp markets. High leverage mode is currently available for these markets: SOL, BTC and ETH.

How to enable high leverage mode

1. Navigate to either the SOL, BTC or ETH perp market.
2. Click on the ‘Get 50x Leverage’ button above the leverage slider. 
3. Opt into High Leverage under margin mode.
4. And you’re done! You will automatically have access to 50x leverage on SOL, BTC or ETH perp market.

Do note that the maximum leverage applies to your subaccount’s total leverage, not your position.

Drift allows you to separate your positions within a single address. These independent subaccounts have their own balances and collateral/margin to allow you to trade on isolated margins. Balances or liquidations from each subaccount will not affect other subaccounts.

To open an isolated position, create a subaccount. 

Important reminder: Increasing your leverage also increases your chance of liquidation. Use leverage responsibly.
